When I finally met Granddad, it was a great pleasure – not just because he is a Manchester United fan. For me, this man is one of many thousands who was willing to make the biggest sacrifice for his country and could recall it like it was yesterday. Needless to say, our trips to see Granddad (and Harry) were no longer limited to a couple of times a year. We tried to get there for long weekends, surprise visits - not only for Granddad, but to see other family as well.
